Authority: You can trust us; we’ve solved this problem before.

4. That Has A Plan

The Character needs a plan to help solve their problem. That’s where you, the Guide, come in.

The plan is usually a 3-step action plan that delivers a solution to the problem.

Although the plan may have more than 3 steps we want to present it as a 3-step plan.

5. Call Them To Action

We want our character to take action. In the StoryBrand Framework, we teach about two different calls to action.

Direct – A direct action they can take to solve their problem. Book a call, buy something. (Example: Schedule your lawn mowing)

Transitional – This would be a step the character can take before they take direct action. (Example: 10 tips to have a better lawn today)

6. That Ends In Success

We want to paint a picture for our character of what success looks like if they take action. (Example: Be the envy of your neighbors with your beautifully manicured lawn)

7. That Helps Them Avoid Failure

What happens if they don’t take action? Paint the picture here of what that could look like. (Example: The entire HOA is gonna talk about you, possibly fine you, but shame you for having such a terrible lawn)
